Patience is a Virtue!

Well, I am still working on this virtue.

My parents still don't have power restored in their house in Houston, Texas. I know that there was a lot of damage done by IKE but this past Thursday their power was on for like an hour then off again and has yet to come back on. They have been camping out at my step dad's office in the evenings where there is power and air conditioning. They have each remarked to me separately that they feel like gypsies - sleeping one place, showering in another and eating in yet another. This has been going on for a week and three days -- I think they have been really patient and nothing has improved. I can tell from the way they sound they are each running out of patience with the situation.

Please send them your positive thoughts today -- they need them! Fingers and toes crossed for restored power in their area today! :)

How awful! I hope their power is back on soon, I can't imagine what it must be like to live like that. I am far away in PA but we got a windstorm from Ike which knocked down our tree plus my Mom-in-law was without power for almost a week.

Things will get better soon. I'll keep them and the others in my thoughts.

And thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog. It's very appreciated.

It makes life so hard without electricity. Sometimes, I take it for granted, till I lose it. Once we had a bad ice storm in January and that was something else..We were lucky, our electric came back earlier than alot of others..Hoping your parents get their electric soon..so life can get back to normal.
