Hands down one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed listening to his books on CD during road trips home for the holidays. His accent and cadence made his stories eve more interesting.
The last of his books I read recently was 'Tis. He wrote too many great books to pick one favorite. Although his childhood was not ideal, it moulded him into a great writer.

I agree. love 'Tis and its prequel Angela's Ashes. I didn't know he wrote any other books?
Will look then up at the library.
I haven't read all of Angela's Ashes but enjoyed what I did...i hope to pick it back up again when the mood is right. He definitely was an important writer for what he chose to write about and his work as a teacher.
