EcoMonday: Laundry
So we're all looking for more ways to be green. Your laundry is one place you can make a big difference. Here are a few tips on how to do more efficient laundry;
• when needing a new machine, check out the efficient ones that use less water and power
• make sure you do full loads
• wash clothes in cold water
• use white vinegar instead of chlorine bleach
• dry laundry out on the line (towels - tumble dry for 5 min, hang out to dry)
• try using lavender sachets instead of using dry sheets (lavender repells moths)
What else do you do to green your laundry?

Saturday Search: Lamb

Oh my gosh, this little lamb is SO cute, I can barely stand it! Between the ears and the eyelashes -- how can you not want to adopt this little lamb? It's available as a card from yesandamen's Etsy Shop here. This would be adorable framed on a nursery wall or sent to someone as a get well message.

EcoMonday: New Harmony

New Harmony Studio is my latest local eco discovery. They have a lovely shop that sells eco-friendly goods from local artists in the front of their space. Unique collages, jewelry, candles, bags, aprons, t-shirts, comestibles, yoga wear and more. They have periodic yoga classes open to the public and a fabulous juice bar. The owner, Holly Price, makes a body-friendly line of yoga wear that is dyed using natural pigments. The colors are muted earth tones that would compliment any complexion. I just love that their space and products are so eco friendly.
Not too long ago, I particpated in a trunk show there and found some of the nicest people in DFW. I felt at home and enjoyed getting to know everyone and the space which also includes an art gallery. From the street, you'd never guess that all that green goodness is hiding behind the door.
I highly recommend visiting. A little birdie told me that there will be some new comfy styles coming soon from Yoga Fibers. Keep an eye on their website for the latest or friend them on Facebook to hear about new developments as they happen.

Eco Monday: Berry Paper
I stalked this beautiful paper in the shop of SimplyInviting Cards for a while and finally purchased it along with a couple other sheets. It's so pretty, I'm having a hard time deciding what to make with it! It has a teeny bit on twinkle to it and is just lovely!
